Family Secrets waiting to be sold and shipped

That’s a question I often get, these days. People want to know how many copies of Family Secrets were sold, and that makes perfect sense. I want to know, too! Unfortunately, I don’t have a clue. Even though regular reviews, view counts and enthusiastic responses come in from across the globe, especially from the publisher, I have no idea how many books are being sold.

The reason for that is also understandable. Family Secrets is available offline and online all over the world, and there is no way to get a full overview of the sales figures. All we have to do is wait for the royalties payments, the first of which won’t come in until the early summer. A bummer, I know, but will you wait with me? I hope we will have something to celebrate soon.

What I can do, here and now, is share a few promising examples of feedback and figures. I also created a review page that I hope to fill with comments from other authors, readers and professional organisations. Books can be awarded 1-5 stars depending on how little or how much they liked it.

This came in from the publisher:

“The Amazon ad for your book is now complete. We had a goal of 40,000 impressions, but we actually reached a total of 119,832 people with the ad. The more eyes the better, so that's a great result!”

“NetGalley is a site that's designed to put your book in front of publishing industry professionals, ranging from booksellers and librarians to independent book reviewers, journalists, educators, and the like. We create a listing for your book with information about the synopsis, page count, ISBN number, praise, etc. During the active campaign period, the full manuscript for the book is actually available for NetGalley users to download and review, which can help booksellers and librarians make stocking decisions, and book reviewers and journalists decide what book they want to review for their audience next.

The publisher created this page for NetGalley. Go take a look: https://www.netgalley.com/catalog/book/822512
